The Lynn Haney collectible Santas are prized by individuals and collectors who still believe in the magic of Christmas. No where else is the exceptional quality of his Santa's more evident than in their costumes and accessories. Lynn carefully selects velvets, brocades, wools, and European braids and crafts them into robes, capes, and elegantly trimmed costumes. Cottage knitters hand-loom sweaters, mittens, hats, and stockings while Hungarian artisans hand embroider folk art designs. Of course, it all begins with the original sculpture. Lynn begins each design by sculpting the head and hands in clay. After continued refinement of each element, a mold is made of the original sculpture to be hand-cast in wood resin to precisely duplicate the original. Each character is then carefully hand-painted and antiqued. Beards and wigs are made by hand from mohair, wools, and other natural fibers and meticulously placed on each piece. Authenticity is a priority of the Lynn Haney Collection. The same attention to detail that goes into the costume designing also goes into the selection of the accessories. Toys and accessories are thoughtfully selected from around the world to give each character a distinct and individual personality. It is this dedication to quality that makes Lynn's pieces so special.
