Hardcover, 32pp This book is set in the enchanted land of Lugin, a country with a Celtic flavor. Lygin is ruled by a king and a queen who have a young son called Langilor. Lugin also has dragons, one of whom is a bad guy who breathes fire and, because he can fly, he creates a lot of mischief. Prince Langilor is ready to ascend the throne, but some of the elders are doubtful about his ability to rule because he is timid by nature. He determines to conquer the troublesome dragon and thereby prove his worth. Saras, the dragon, gets injured and Prince Langilor nurses him back to health. They become firm friends and Saras returns to the palace and lives there with his friend proving that more can be achieved with the proverbial velvet glove than a fist of iron. The author is a gifted artist and she has created wonderful, ethereal illustrations that lend themselves well to the tale. They are based on an old Celtic manuscript that can be found in Ireland.
